Here's the header information of description of .AFA files.

Offset	Size		Description
0	5		File identifier, always has the value "ASTVSA"
5	2		AFA file version, 2 bytes: vHI + vLO
7	1		File Type (1 = Normal, 2 = multipart)
8	2		Multipart File Number (If no multipart is "1")
10	1	Only Multiparts	If value= 100, Continue on another file.
11	48	Only Multiparts	Reserved
10	4	added 49 to offset in multipart files	Number of total files.
14	4	added 49 to offset in multipart files	Number of files within this AFA file
